"MARIEVE HERRINGTON: Alright now, the perfect centerpiece to any table, other than flowers of course, and particularly for a brunch, edible centerpiece. These are really nice fruit platter. But you don't have to get that complicated with a lot of fruit. You can just pick one or two things that are really your favorite. What I've done is, there were beautiful cantaloupes this week that just smelled really nice so that's what I've got here. And I'll show you how I played it and get it ready for this kind of arrangement. Because I found that if I was cubing the cantaloupe, it would-I'd end up wasting quite a bit of the melon which I--I didn't like that. So if I take advantage, I decided to take advantage of the curvature of the melon and what I've done is I just sliced--I hollowed out first of all the cantaloupe, cut it in half and you'll see I'm just doing thin slices--oh, I'll try that one again. And I'm running my knife along the side and placing it in this flowered pattern on the platter. I'll do one more maybe. So see? Just a thin slice. Run your knife around the edge. You get another petal of this ever growing flower. Now I'm going to add a few more but when I'm done, I'm just going to finish the center of the platter with that--now it's not quite as full as I'm going to have it but, does that look pretty? Super easy, just two kinds of fruit but if you take advantage of just slicing it like that, the curve of the melon, it actually looks pretty nice. Don't you think?"
