"Now time to work on the wet ingredients for the buttermilk waffles. No buttermilk, it sounds so rich and so decadent, actually it's a low, especially since I'm using a low in fat buttermilk. You see it's quite chunky as you near the end, but that's quite normal. If you don't have buttermilk around and you don't want to go out and get some, an easy trick to do is take the same amount of milk and add about a tablespoon or so of vinegar. Put it to a side and let it sour a few minutes, and chemically the same thing will happen in your recipe. I'm gonna take that. I'm also going to take two eggs, as well as, some honey. Natural sweetness to the recipe. Sometimes it takes its sweet time coming out. Depends on how sweet you like your waffles and how much syrup you'll be putting on top as well. So that's a third of a cup. Goes straight in. A splash of vanilla, love vanilla, and half a stick, a quarter cup of melted butter. Whisk that together, break up those egg yolks. We have our dry ingredients standing by here. You don't have to be fussy about making additions in a couple different additions, just go ahead and do use your spatula to get to the bottom because the honey sticks to the bottom. And then just get your whisk and combine until it's nice and smooth."
