"Hi I'm Karen for Expert Village while our dough is rising I'm going to show you how to make the same receipt completely by hand without a mixture. We are going to use the same receipt so again we have our poof yeast and water mixture, our 1 2/3 cups of milk, or 2 teaspoon of salt, or 2 tablespoon of honey. Scrap that all in there okay and our 2 tablespoons of oil. Measure that over your bowl so anything that drips goes into the bowl and then we are going to start with the 3 cups of flour 1,2,3, when you are baking bread you really don't need to make sure those cups are even they can just be good cups. Now we are going to stir that up, try to get up a nice good consistency. It starts out rather lumpy and we are just going to stir. You need to use a really nice big bowl for making bread because it is going to end up being a lot more flour then this and you would have more room to work in if you use a big bowl. Okay it is becoming smoother and it is important to stir cause as you could see as I stir it, it is getting this stretchy gluey consistency which is very important and if you stir this up nice and smooth it is going to distribute all the ingredients nicely add it would be easier to add the next cups of flour. If it is smooth if it is to lumpy when you start adding the new cups of flour then it would be difficult to get a nice smooth dough. Okay that is nice and smooth see how glutenous that is stretching glutenous now we add another cup of flour and just sprinkle that over and just continue stirring. This is a great workout doing bread by hand work those arm muscles cause as you add that flour one by one the dough gets thicker. Okay see how nice and thick that is and just scrap the sides down continue to stir. Now when it gets to thick to stir you would start working by hand and you would need the additional flour into. "
