"My name is Brandon Sarkis. Today I'm going to show you how to make Irish soda bread. Okay there is two different kind of soda Irish bread I'm going to show you the traditional dark soda bread as well of the white version the white version. The difference is that there is wheat flour and the dark version is brown sugar. That is also denser. So our first ingredient here is one and a half cup of all purpose flour or ap flour you can buy it at the grocery store. Next ingredient here is going to be one half of a tablespoon of baking powder. I also got one-sixth cup of sugar. I have some salt, you have to have salt. We also got a half a teaspoon of baking soda. Let us see here, we also got a egg, you are gong to need that. I also got one cup of butter milk. Mmm delicious butter milk. Now for the dark soda bread actually this recipe is going to be the same to a point and then we are going to switch the loaf off in two different ways. So for the dark soda bread it's all the same to a point there is just a couple of extra ingredients we are going in. So we got our one in half cup here (I'm sorry) one cup of wheat flour. I got my half a teaspoon of baking soda and my tablespoon of brown sugar. Let's see we are going to need a sheet pan, a stick of butter or a loaf pan. The stick of butter is going to grease up the loaf pan, inside the loaf pan here we are going to grease this up to make sure we get a nice brown on the outside. Mixing bowls I use plastic, the plastic is better for you. The metal would scarp off and get into your food which is not good. You also want the oven preheated to three-hundred and fifty degrees and that is pretty much everything you need and a good spatula for your hands. "
