"Hello! This is Chef Sean Roe on behalf of expertvillage.com here to go over yet another important step in food preparation, and that is the history of food. As we all know, most food culture comes from certain areas and some of it comes from famous restaurants, as is eggs Benedict. Like bananas Fosters, which was created in Louisiana at the famous Fosters restaurant, this recipe was actually developed in Manhattan’s famous restaurant. Mr. and Mrs. Lagrange Benedict, complained that there was not enough selection on the lunch menu and decided that they were going to create a new recipe. The result was eggs Benedict. If you ever have any questions in regards to food history, I definitely recommend that you pick up the Food’s Lovers Companion; they come out with an addition every one to two years. There’s very little information that is not in here. I always find it interesting to know where these recipes come from. It’s inspiring for people who like to write their own recipes, that even the most common restaurant can create history. "
