"We are talking about healthy snacks and healthy snack choices for children. One of my favorites is that we use the rye crisp crackers simply because they have better ingredients; they are a little thicker as opposed to regular Saltines or Ritz type of crackers. These are healthier choices. They are heartier and they have got some good grains in there. They are longer, they are bigger and they are thicker. What you can put on top of those besides all the other things that we have already talked about is hummus. This hummus was on sale, good and cheap and this is a spinach hummus. Hummus comes with all varieties, red bell pepper hummus, pine hummus. I recommend going into the store and checking out what you think you might like, bringing it home and trying it. They do come in different taste ranges so just because you like one does not mean that you are going to like another one so you have got the hummus which is basically smashed chick peas and a couple of other ingredients that you can spread on the cracker and you can eat it just like that. Or you can add sliced tomato. You have your choice of cracker, hummus, and tomato and as I talked before you can expand upon that and add cheese, artichokes, broccoli and just go crazy."
