"Hi! I'm Richard Buccola here in New York City and today on behalf of Expert Village, I am going to show you how to make some Shepherds pie. So we are back and we are going to do another twist. I had some leftover mashed potatoes so another trick that I do is if I didn't have mashed potatoes and had to make it for this meal, I would boil my mashed potatoes and I would also take a couple of cloves of garlic and also boil them. It softens up the garlic and what you do is mash them all together and the garlic believe it or not, mashes very easy. But since I had some made already, I am just going to use them. Why not? They are leftovers. Rory adds a little bit of sour cream which I did here in the past but I don't. But I am going to try today because this is his recipe. He also adds cheddar cheese and I am just going to add one more little twist to it on top of my mashed potatoes. On top of my mashed potatoes, I am going to add a little bit or Parmesan cheese because that will help with the browning. You want it to come out a little crispy on top. Nice and brown potatoes. And what you are going to do is put your meat mix on the bottom of the casserole and your mashed potatoes go on top. When I come back, I am gong to start putting it all together. Actually I am going to save some money and shred our own cheese when I come back here. It's Shepherds Pie at Expert Village."
