"Hi! I'm Richard Buccola here in New York City and today on behalf of Expert Village, I am going to show you how to make some Shepherd's Pie. Okay the ingredients today for this Shepherd Pie you are going to need some chopped meat. I've got Sirloin. You can get anything; chuck or round or whatever you want to get. If you are going to use something that is going to be a little bit more fatty, you do want to drain your fat when you brown it. So half a pound or 1 1/2 pounds, excuse me of chopped meat. Today I am going to use some frozen peas and carrots. I have a can of corn. I am going to use that. I am going to use some cheddar cheese today in my mash potatoes along with some sour cream to make them really whipped up and really nice. I had some mashed potatoes left over. If you look on Expert Village, you will see one of my videos where I teach you how to make mashed potatoes. So you might just want to remember that and bring it to your Shepherd Pie and you had some left over and you made it. Rory's secret ingredient and what he does is he uses baked beans in his chopped meat. He says that it also thickens up the meat sauce or the meat. You are going to need a can of brown gravy. I have some onion; I'm going to use it. I have some garlic; I'm going to use it. I have a scallion; I'm going to throw it in. You can't make this wrong. What you are going to do is you are going to brown your beef and put it on the bottom and layer it with mashed potatoes on the top. To brown the mashed potatoes, I am going to add a little Parmesan cheese. That will help with the browning when it goes in the oven. When I come back, I am going to start putting this all together. Shepherd's Pie here folks at Expert Village. "
