"Hi! I’m Louis Ortiz on behalf of Expert Village and I’m back to show you the chicken strips which we’ve breaded. So I’ve got a countertop fryer here that works really well, I got it set to 375 degrees and as you can see my ready lights on. So we’re good to go and all I’ve done I’m using a straight Canola Oil, there’s all different kinds of oils you can use shortenings, things of that nature I tend to like Canola just because it provides a better color to the foods once they’re done. So I’m going to go ahead a pop a lid open on this guy and this particular model has a basket that can be raised and lower without having to lift in and out of the fry which makes it nice and convenient also you got a lid here so that as you’re frying the steam and everything that’s generated has vents so it can leave but that way you can just shut the lid and it won’t tend to make the whole house smell like a big fish shack or something. So I’m going to go ahead and lay these chicken strips in the basket and as you can hear they’re starting to sizzle right away as some of the breading fall in and that’s good because we want our oil to be nice and hot. If the oil isn’t up to temperature it’s going to provide a slower cooking process the breading will come out real gummy, it won’t come get nice and golden quickly like it needs to be cause essentially frying is a really quick cooking process and you want to get it done as fast as possible so your food doesn’t just sit in the oil. So I’m going to go ahead and hit the switch here and lower these guys down and we’ll shut the lid as those guys cook and I’ll come right back to you and show you what the finish product should look like."
