"Hi! I'm Mark Alyn and this is Expert Village. All right we are going to start by putting in some shallots. Shallots are related to the onion and garlic actually. It is a softer version of an onion, that is how I would describe it. You can buy it in the market and just chop it up fine and then put in about 4 tablespoons and then just stir it up and let it cook for about 30 seconds. Once it is translucent or almost transparent, you can add in the garlic. I put in a lot of garlic because we like a lot of garlic, about 2 tablespoons of garlic and then let that cook up for another 30 to 40 seconds and just stir it up. "
