"Hi! This is Matt on behalf of Expert Village and today we are going to make pepper steak and pork over a bed of rice. Now we are going to work on our green onions here. If you noticed, I emptied my waste bowl out because it was full of the squash and the peppers. So we are going to cut the ends off because we are not going to use these right here. This stuff right here we are not going to use. We will put in the waste bowl. We are going to cut small pieces of the green onion and we can use pretty much most of it. Let's throw this oops, you need some room, out that in there. Pretty much cut you know, you don't have to get all the way to the top but you could pretty much utilize most of this green onion here. Pretty much does it like this. We will just put that in our bowl, the bowl that we are going to use, the waste bowl. Our white onion; I'll show you the proper way or quick way to peel this without sitting there with your fingers and trying to peel it. We are going to cut the ends off like this and then the waste bowl. Cut this end off and then get this layer off here. Then we are going to cut a small little incision on the side you know. Get the first layer if we can and turn it over and do the same thing and then all we have to do is peel it away. It's that simple. So here's your onion so usually a lot of times I cook meals that I do my poor man's dicer where I just cut like this and I cut across and cut down and diced onions are immediately there. I am not going to do that. With pepper steak, I want to have longer pieces. So I am just going to cut pieces like this, not too thin, not too thick. See and then I am just going to cut across and break them up with my finger and put them in the bowl like so. Do one more, couple of more rows here like this and just cut down the middle and then just break them up with your fingers. There you have it. "
