Washing Vegetables for Steak & Pork Over Brown Rice Recipe

"Hi this is Matt on behalf of Expert Village and today we are going to make pepper steak and pork over a bed of brown rice. So now that we have our meat cut up let's work on our vegetables. Now before we prepare our vegetables I want to talk about washing them it is extremely, extremely important to wash your vegetables. I know that you have in the super market and you are in the produce aisle and everybody is man handling the peppers and the cucumbers and they are just sitting there in a pile for everyone to touch. That is fine you have to touch them, you have to feel them to see if they are okay but you know that means you don't have to eat them after somebody. Well you don't know where their hands have been and been touching them. So after you bring them home or before you are ready to prepare them actually let's make sure you give them a rinse over and start washing them. So we are going to wash these vegetables right now. Just make sure you wash them thoroughly just give them a rinse over, get them cleaned and then you are good to go. You just don't want to take any chances with people where their hands have been. Remember this is something that you have to put in your body and in your mouth and just the thought of it. So just make sure you wash them really good and also pesticide that is another thing you don't know what have been sprayed on these vegetables, who's touched them, there is many different factors. So it does not hurt to take a couple of minutes and to wash them. That is what we are doing right here. Okay great, let's prepare our vegetables. "
