"My chicken is browning on the stove I just preheated my oven to 375. The reason why I covered it first of all because I want to be actually be cooking the chicken not just browning it. Let me explain what all that means I browning the chicken which means that I'm kind of searing it on each side of the chicken breast. What that does first of all it's a great color, it really seals in the seasonings that you put on it and it also really seals in all the juiciness of the chicken. So you usually want to brown it which is what I'm doing on each side. I covered it so that it's actually all the heat in that pan is also cooking the inside at the same time. So we're pretty much cooking and browning the chicken breast all at once on the stove. You can wait and just cook it in the oven you know we are putting this in the oven, it's baking all together in the casserole dish. However doing this as just one step before I put it in the oven just makes the whole process faster, the chicken and rice soup casserole won't sit in there as long cause the chicken is already going to be cooked and this just takes a few minutes. So this is looking good like it's cooking pretty quickly. I'm going to flip it over and you see what it looks like. It's still a little pale so it's not brown yet. I'm going to leave it on for a few more minutes cause I want it to get a nice pretty golden brown on each side."
