"Hi my name is Karl James owner of Creolesoul catering and on behalf of Expert Village I'm here to show you a simple chicken and sausage gumbo. Okay let's look at what we are going to need for the gumbo we are going to use some green pepper, some garlic, celery, some chopped green onions or scallions, we are using La Dewey or Dewey sausage they are kind of spicy, of course some chicken. Then our seasonings that we are going to use we are going to use a little bit of black pepper, some garlic salt, some onion powder, some secret ingredients, a little ground red pepper, some garlic powder and of course some file which is give some file taste in the gumbo which is actually made from sassafras leaves. Also for our roux which is going to be equal parts of flour and vegetable oil and I suggest using vegetable oil rather then olive oil. Olive oil just gives it a little taste that you are really not look for a vegetable oil is not your best route to go. Anyway let's get started. "
