"Hi, I'm Jennifer Cail. On behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you how to make potato latkes for Hanukkah dinner. Our next step for making latkes is to shred the potatoes. As I already stated we'll be using a food processor to shred our potatoes. So I washed up all the potatoes now I'm just going to cut them into smaller pieces making sure that there aren't any obvious blemishes on the outside and cutting out any bad eyes. Depending on the size of your food processor and also the size of its feeding tube you might be able to get away with just cutting up the potatoes in half. However if it's smaller you're going to have to cut them into quarters, the very minimum into thirds. So let's get this baby started. I'm going to turn it on, you don't want it on pulse because you want to continue to shred those, stick that in there. Now you might have various safety functions that are going to prevent this from running while you are trying to put things in which is of course a good for safety. This one also has a max line on here so want to make sure that you listen to whatever it is when you are putting things in. Also you are going to get probably some end pieces of potato there that don't shred, that is fine you want to save those for later when we'll use them."
