"Hi. This is Josiah Owen with Expert Village, and today we're going to be talking about how to cook pepperoni ziti for those on a diabetic diet. All right. Now we're going to go ahead and get our dried seasoning together. For this we're going to need: dried oregano leaf, garlic salt, ground black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes. We'll start off with our black pepper. We're going to need a quarter teaspoon of this. You just want to level this off and pour that right in there. After that, we're going to need a half teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes. Put that in there with the pepper. We're going to need a half a teaspoon of our garlic salt. Level that off. Then we're going to need two teaspoons of our dried oregano. I always tend to cook with fresh, but today, we're going with the dried. It's up to you, your preference if you want to actually go and get the fresh ingredients, or you can buy in bulk like we have. It just depends on the recipe and your time. And there you go. You have your dried ingredients. All right. Now we're going to talk about chopping our tomatoes for our ziti. First we're going to start off by chopping off the ends. Right now, the recipe calls for one large tomato. We're going to use three smaller Roma tomatoes. What you want to do is you want to come in about half an inch and make your slices. This looks like about four slices per tomato. Then after this, we're going to take our tomato and we're going to chop them into quarters. So you half, turn, half. Same thing over here; half, turn, half. I'm just going to do that for all tomatoes, and that will be all we need for our ziti."
