How to Boil the Pasta for Diabetic Ziti

"Hi, this is Josiah Owens with Expert Village and today we are going to be talking about how to cook pepperoni ziti for those on a diabetic diet. Now we are going to talk about boiling our water for our pasta. Now we are going to talk about cooking our pasta for our ziti. To start off we are going to add 4 quarts of water boiling. Make sure that it is boiling before adding the pasta. If not, it is going to take longer. It is going to effect the taste. This is a proven method so start off by a tablespoon of salt and then one package 16 ounces or 1 pound of ziti. Put it in there and give it a quick stir. Now we are going to cook this for 8-9 minutes uncovered. Make sure that we stir occasionally cause we don't want the pasta to stick together. After that we are going to go ahead and drain it. Now that our pasta is cooked, we can go ahead and drain this so we are going to set this strainer right in a big old pot. This comes out really nice with very little stickish. Go ahead and put this to the side. Right now it is all draining out get as much of the liquid as possible. Now at this point we are going to go ahead and put it in another bowl with a paper towel on top of it and go ahead and dry this off. You want this as dry as possible for our meal we don't want any excess water. We are just going to toss this around and then we are going to pour this back minus the paper towel. It should just fall right off and there you are go you are ready to start mixing."
