Summary: Learn how to add beans for vegetarian bean chili with expert vegetarian cooking tips in this free chili recipe video clip.
"So now that our vegetables are done sauting we are ready to add the beans. We have 1 can of black beans and 1 can of kidney beans. So I'm just going to open these up and depending on how you like a really chunky chili you would probably want to drain both cans of beans. If you like a really liquid chili you would probably don't drain either. If you like it somewhere in between drain the kidney but don't drain the black beans. So I'm just going to get rid of most of this juice on the kidney beans. Go throw those into my pot and I would drain these black beans just a little bit cause I like a really chunky chili. So now that we have both of our cans of beans in there, kidney beans are completely drained, black beans pretty much mostly drain. I'm just going to mix everything up. Get all these sauted vegetables mixed up with the beans. So then I'm just going to cover it and I'm going to let it cook like this for about 10 minutes. I'm just going to stir occasionally so it does not burn on the bottom of the pan. But we would just let it keep going like this for about 10 minutes and they would be ready for the next step."
