"Hi! My name is Brandon Sarkis on behalf of Expert Village. Today I am going to show you how to make black eyed peas. All right our first thing is to inspect our peas. It's a good thing I have a black cutting board because it is going to make this job a little easier. Let's dump our peas out here and try not to make a mess like I did. Basically what you are looking for here are rocks because, look at that, lord and behold. It's actually a bad pea, so set aside. Looking mainly for rocks. You are also looking for bad peas; ones that don't look right. Believe it or not you will rocks in here. It's a matter of how many I suppose is typically the case. Just take your time, go slow. Go a little bit at a time; go with just a handful at a time like I am doing here; just sift through it. What happens is somehow during the bagging process or something, somehow tiny pieces of gravel for whatever reason can end up in the bag as can any sort of other things. I have actually pieces of gravel, clumps of dirt even. These things are washed but they are not washed a lot which is part of our next step. Basically you are just going to repeat this for the whole bag and it does take a little while to go through the whole thing. I'm trying to see if I can find a rock so I can show you what they look like but so far, I've seem to have gotten a pretty good bag. Who am I to complain? So, well I am going to go ahead and finish doing this and I'm sure you don't want to watch me sort through these beans the next four or five minutes. So with that, we will just through the magic of television we will fast forward time and go on to our next part. "
