"Hi, this is David with Expert Village. Today we are going to make white beans with hamhocks and cornbread. Okay we are just getting ready to serve now so the last thing you are going to want to do with your bean soup is take out the bay leaves that you have in there. We are just about ready to serve before we do we want to make sure we get those bay leaves out the pot. You wouldn't want anybody to choke on these. Just go ahead and discard them to the side. Just take those right out just like that. That should do it and make sure when you boil it you get a nice piece or two of that hamhock that has been simmering with this. Then we take off the bones. What I like to do is a little garnish on the side I have learned this from my dad is to get a little bit of Tabasco if you like a little spiciness to it. You definitely do not have to do this if you don't like spicy food. But just a few little dots of that. This is what really dad told me get pepperchinies. You know those little green peppers that go in your sandwiches and things just go ahead and it has some juice in it. Just a touch you don't need to much of it and that is going to break in the flavor of this. You would not believe. You would have to try it sometime and just kind of mix that around in a bowl like that. Then we are going to get a nice piece of cornbread with your chilies in it, just kind of put that to the side. Two if you like and you have a beautiful bowl of white beans soup with hamhocks and cornbread on the side. Bon appetite. "
