"Hi, this is Dave for Expert Village. Today we are going to make white bean soup with hamhocks and cornbread. So what we are going to do is we have our beans ready we have our hamhock but this one is already cooked you want to go ahead and put it in the beans. Just like that snuggle that in there and I like to add a few bay leafs into this for a little bit extra flavor. Now that the hamhock is in here with this can bean method basically you only need about 10-15 minutes to everything is kind of flavors and gets the mellow a little. If you are using the dry bean method it's going to cook 2-3 hours you just want to keep an eye on it. Check the beans every once in a while to see how soft they are you want nice little bite to them but you don't want them hard at all in the middle. So that is how we do these two methods."
