"Hi, this is Dave for Expert Village. Today we are going to make white bean soup with hamhocks and cornbread. Now that we assorted through the beans and we are sure that there is no rocks or anything in there. We are going to go ahead and put them in to soak here is how to do it. Go ahead and get a bowl and we are going to go ahead and put our beans right in just like that. What we want is regular water just enough to cover these so just like that it doesn't take that much. This is going to kind of soak this up what you want to do is have these over night in the water. There is also a quick soak method that you can see on the side of any package of these beans where you kind of simmer them as a primarily type of thing for a couple of hours. But if you have the time just go ahead and put these in before you go to bed they will be nice and ready the next day. What we'll do is drain these and then put fresh water in them and we'll see how it goes."
