"This is David for Expert Village and we are going to be making some country fried steak. So now we are going to cut the onion. You see I got this big ole yellow onion here, you can get a sweet onion too these are great. Just get the biggest one. To make it easier we are going to slice it and dice it so I like to get the whole onion and just got long ways here. As you can see we have a flat surface here and you want to leave this portion on for a little bit, that is the root end. That makes it hold together a lot more and just go ahead and take that end off of here. Same thing on this side except the outside. This is great for company to later just go ahead and peel the onion long ways like this. Pull that off, same thing with this and like I said we are going to slice this one instead of dicing it cause this is going to go so well with your steak. Go ahead and slice it just like that, you see how this is going to fall apart? It is going to be just great with the pan juices. Now this is so big you are only going to need a couple of them for 4 people and this is just beautiful, beautiful onions. "
