"This is Dave for Expert Village. Today we're going to be making some country fried steak. Okay, now that we have our great steaks here that have been tenderized, and we put these through egg wash and seasonings and flour, we're getting ready to put them into a hot skillet. Okay, so now we have some olive oil here. This is a really light olive oil. You can also use vegetable oil, just perfectly fine. I just like the flavor of this a little more than just vegetable oil. Kind of move that around a little bit. So this pan is already hot already, you can see the rivulets going around here. And now here's where we want to put in our steaks. Now be careful. These are so tenderized they might fall apart a little bit. They're a little bit like hamburger. But you go ahead and just lay it in here, and you hear that nice sizzle. And what we're trying to do here is get a nice brown effect on the outside, and then it will cook through and we'll turn it down just a little bit. You see how beautiful that is. These were the real tender ones that were almost falling apart. There's no problem with that, these are going to be just awesome with the mashed potatoes. So we'll go ahead and put these all in. Kind of leave them alone a little bit, but you want to get the heat through all sides. We have a little bit here left. And you see the sizzle there, and this is going to taste so good. Alright, it's been about three minutes on each steak. You're going to see how brown these get. Now you don't want to cook them all the way through because we're going to add the onions and things like that at the end, so it doesn't have to be all the way. "
