"This is Dave for Expert Village and today we are making some chicken fried steak. Alright for the mashed potatoes now, we've got a pan of water going and want to get it boiling pretty soon and we've got these three beautiful potatoes. If you wanted to go quicker, you could go ahead and cut them up in really small dice and that is what we will do today. If you have plenty of time, you can do the in bigger chunks so here is how we do it. You get your chef's knife or any other table knife if you like. This is really heavy so this is great and I like to go half way through here and split it into that. It kind of makes an even space for you here so that it doesn't roll around and I like to just go down length wise. It goes there and again cooks quicker if you have smaller pieces. So go ahead and do that; set these to the side and do the other half. Just cut that into nice chunks. We'll grab another potato and go half way again and go through there. Nothing to it and we'll put these into the water. These are going to cook for about 20 minutes or so. They are going to be fork tender which means when you stick your fork or knife into them that it goes in easily and of course, we are going to mash them later. "
