"Hi this is David for Expert Village today we're going to be making pork chops with caramelized onions with smoked guta. Now that that the pork chops are out of the frying pan we've cleaned it and you want to turn back on your heat, pretty high, and we're going to want to add again about 3 tablespoon of oil. And this is going to be to cook our onions. Put that in there. Then we have our sliced onions, you just pour those right in, hear that sizzle, then we want to start moving around just to break them up a little bit into smaller pieces, there already sliced up beautifully. And you want to get a nice brown caramelization on these because we want to cook these down even though they'll be baked a little bit longer with the pork chops, this is just a delicious element of this dish. So take your time on it, it will probably be about 8 or 10 minutes all together, you can turn down your heat just a little bit I have it on high for the moment. And what we're going to want to do is add some sugar to it and it's going to add to the caramelization so what were going to want to do is add about a teaspoon or so, maybe even less you can tell how its browning up. If you get some nice, these are yellow onions, you can use Maui onions or even sweet onions that have a lot of sugar and it will brown up quicker than this. But this just adds a beautiful color to this."
