"This is Dave for Expert Village; today we’re going to make Shrimp and Scallop Fettucini with a side of garlic bread. Okay, now that we’ve got our sauce going it’s time to boil up our pasta. Okay, so you want to get your water at a rolling boil. I like to add a little bit of olive oil to it, or vegetable oil, if that’s what you have to the water, just about a tablespoon or so. Now this is going to keep the pasta from sticking together. And there’s another option, I like to add a little ground salt to my pasta water too, it just gives it a little more flavor, don’t’ add too much because your pasta sauce is going to have some in there. So just a few grinds, just like that, stir that around, get it distributed through the water and then we have our fettucini, gather that up and I like to break these in two, it just makes it less cumbersome. So I just like to snap them and just like that. You can also make this with spaghetti that would be good too. Just kind of move them around so it gets a little coated with olive oil. "
