"I'm chef Danielle from Expert the next step in this process for the rustic chicken pesto pizza is to actually make the pesto. Your going to want to get some fresh basil leaves earlier in the segment you saw the 2 packages they normally come in a package at the store. Two of them is normally about 2 cups which is what you need you want to pick the leaves off the stem because you just want to use the leaves. Because it's going to go into the blender or food processor if you have a food processor the leaves don't have to be perfect looking because they're going to get chopped up anyways. You want to be sure that there not rotten but they don't have to be all that pretty either, what you do want to do for a garnish for later when we finish the pizza is to save about 2 or 3 of basil leaves that look prettier. Cause were going to use these as a garnish at the end the rest of them you can just throw them into the pile your also going to need about 3 cloves of garlic. Now on the basil you just want to be sure you just don't basically just the leaves that's the leaf thats what your trying to get. You need about 3 cloves of garlic as well your going to want to minced these up minced just means that there chopped really tiny and small. So your going to need your knife and your going to clean the garlic cloves your going to want to chop off each end and then you can just peel if off the skin or outer coating cause you don't want to use that at all. A lot of times what I do is get a little bowl for my little trash pile and I'll throw all my trash bites in the bowl what you can do as well if you like and it's easier for cleanup. Cut the end as long as you get all of the skin off of here another little tip for garlic if you see some little green in the middle which this one doesn't have, this little green bit you want to try to take those out because it can make your garlic bitter and it can change the flavor of your food. So were just going ahead and make sure that we get this garlic nice and chopped and minced real fine."
