"Hi, my name is Branden Sarcus on behalf of Expert Village. Today I am going to show you how to make chopped steak with an onion and garlic ju. It is now onion time. So what we are going to do is we are going to lop off this end of our onion. We are going to take our knife, slice right through it. Take our onion face it flip side down leave this end on the onion, slice right through their. Now, we are just going to peel the onion real quick. I will do it off camera but you know how to peel an onion I am sure. It's just that my trash can is right over here and I am back. Now peel the other one really quickly. This one is not going as easy as the other one I just peeled, there we go. Alright, so now we are going to take our knife and we are just going to make a series of vertical cuts, and we want our onion to be pretty big so we want you know nice size pieces here. What I like to do is, I like to mix it up a little bit so I will do half of my onion in a dice like this and now the other half of the onion, we will push that aside. With the other half I will just cut it going down the center and then I will do really fine slivers. This gives you a nice texture duality and it means that you are not going to actually see the exact same things through out your dish because you have two different types of onion mixed in their together. We will just chop that off, chop that, chop that. Get some of all that stuff out of the way. That is our onion it's already burning my eyes. Let's move on to doing our chop steaks."
