How to Make the Boil Mixture for King Crab

"My name is Brandon Sarkis on behalf of Expert Village. Today, I am going to show you my favorite way to cook King Crab legs. The next thing we will do is get our water going. So I am going to take my pan with the steamer insert in it and I'll show you why in a second. I want to make sure that there is still, you can see when I pour the water in there it went all the way to the bottom. So that means that there is just enough room in the bottom to where the water is not coming over the holes in the bottom of the steamer insert. I want the water to come up about half an inch or so over the top of that just like that. The reason being is that as it starts to boil, it comes to a boil, it will cook that out. You also need to monitor this very carefully while you are doing it is because what can happen you can cook all the water to the bottom of the pan. If that happens, you can ruin your pan. That is bad. So got my heat over here on high and when I see some steam coming out and I'll hit the right point, I will just monitor that. But I would go ahead and get this started first just because the last thing you want to have everything else ready and waiting for your water to boil and steam your crab legs. So with that being said, lets go ahead and move on to the sauces. "
