How to Serve Butternut Squash Compote

"Hi. This is Rich Buccola here in New York City and today on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to show you how to make butternut squash compote. Alright, we're back. It's been about 20 minutes. Don't forget to stir it once or twice while it's cooking and you'll see it comes out perfect. Look at how nice this is. This is going to be a beautiful side dish to any meal. Any meal. So, this is just a nice side plate really but if you wanted to serve it, serve it, this is how I would do it. I just took my measuring cup. I filled it and I packed it in with my spatula and I just turned it over and I just let it sit. And gravity took over and it came out nice. Of course if you were just serving a side plate of this you would use maybe your half a cup measuring cup. Alright so I put that down. Usually I would just take a little, I don't know, you just. Simpler the better I believe when cooking. Keep it simple. Couple of green mint leaves. I have some of my nuts. Just shake them up. I'm just going to give them a little sprinkle on top, maybe along side the bowl, the plate. Little more on top and that's it. Very simple, elegant. It's nice. It is butternut squash compote and it's delicious."
