"Hi! I'm Jennifer Cail and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to make sweet potatoes. When making your sweet potato casserole, what is the best pot to be putting it in? You want to use a casserole dish. Preferably, something which is nice enough to be able to serve in because you won't be able to take out of the dish and put it into a serving dish without disturbing the marshmallow topping. You might have a long, narrow, or rectangular dish that you might want to use. If you do that, then you won't have as many layers of the potatoes, apple sauce, and pineapple. You'll be getting mostly marshmallows. If that's your plan, then go ahead with the nice rectangular casserole dish, because that will guarantee sweetness in every bite. However, I prefer using a rather taller casserole dish. This is actually a soufflé dish, so it has nice straight sides, which will help a soufflé dish. It also keeps the marshmallows, which will puff up a little bit nice inside and it looks really nice on the table when you're serving it."
