"Hi, this is Rich Buccola here in New York City and today on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to make butternut squash compote. Alright, today for this butternut squash compote, you're going to need the following utensils. Going to need a two quart casserole dish. I think this is actually a little bit bigger. This is actually a three quart. But it's alright if you have a three quart. It won't make a difference. Going to need a cutting knife, get yourself a good cutting knife. A cutting board, these silicone cutting boards. I always talk about how great they are. Going to need a paring knife. Going to need a potato peeler to peel our butternut squash. Spatula. Also going to need a grater for our fresh ginger root that we have. Going to need a bowl to mix some stuff in. And basically that's it. I mean these are simple ingredients. I'll do this right here in the morning, have it all prepped. I actually do like the first part of it where you put it in the oven and then I'll just wait for the second part, come back have it all prepped and be able to come home after dinner and just pop it in the oven and it's a nice starter for dinner. And with that said, we're going to show you exactly how to do this. Come back. I'm going to show you how easy it is. We're going to start chopping up some apples."
