"Hi, this is Rich Buccola here in New York City and today on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to make butternut squash compote. Alright, today for this butternut squash compote, you're going to need the following ingredients. Alright, you're going to need the juice of an orange. I had an orange so you know, the juice from a container is fine. Going to need a pear, you're going to need a tart or a red apple is fine for our fruit. Dried ginger is fine. I had some fresh so I'm just going to use fresh. You'll need some brown sugar. This calls for pecans, walnuts, hazelnuts. I had a little bit of both so, I had a little bit of hazelnuts and a little bit of pecans so I'm going to throw them both in. Going to need about a two pound butternut squash. Two pounder. Going to need some raisins, some butter, some salt, some light corn syrup and some nutmeg. Pretty simple ingredients. We're going to mix this all together. Put it in the oven. It's really, it's a fun dish. It's fast. Usually I make this in the summer. It is the winter now, but I felt like I wanted to make it because it's just one of those things every once in a while it's nice to have coming out of the oven. It's warm and the fruit mixed with the butternut squash is really a fun thing and I don't know. The kids love it, I love it so I just love cooking for them so, cook for your kids. Come back. We're going to show you utensils."
