"Hi my name is Brandon Sarkis on behalf of Expert Village. Today I am going to show you how to make peanut brittle. All right so it has been two or three minutes and you can see how the sugar is taking on this different texture. It's like fluffy and almost looks like snow i guess. So like it said you are trying to make sure that your butter has been very nicely worked, and as even with the sugar as you can get it. Now the reason you would want to melt the butter before hand is that, that would separate the butter out into the oils and to the butter solids and everything and that is not what you want to do. So we are now going to take our corn syrup and just pour it right in. Now here is a neat piece of trivia, if you wanted to pour the corn syrup into something first. What you would do is grease up whatever you are using. For example if you were using like a cup just put a little bit of oil in there just a tiny bit like some butter in there. In that way the corn syrup doesn't stick to the container when it pours out. So once we get all this in there, looks like that is all we are going to get. Alright so we are going to stir this up. Keep in mind we are still over medium heat. So were going to let the sugar dissolve. You want to make sure you get the sugar of the bottom. So it doesn't scorch. We'll be back in just a minute."
