"My name is Brandon Sarkis on behalf of Expert Village. Today I'm going to show you how to make Gingerbread. All right, so let's go ahead and add in a little bit more of our flour. I'll just turn that off and grab my measuring cup again. We're going to add another, couple cups here with the mixer off. If you add it when it's on, you tend to make a bit of a mess. Same thing, we're going to drop the towel over the top, turn it on, let it start stirring. Okay now, we're going to add the shortening. That's this fun stuff here. I got it in one scoop; this part's fun. You want to turn your mixer off when you add it, just add it right in like that, make sure you get it all off your spatula and get it all into there. Same thing, put the towel over it again, and turn it on so you don't throw flour all over the place. What will happen, is, it won't happen right away, but your shortening will start to mix up in there. It's kind of starting to do, but we still need to keep the towel over it for a second. So you want to let this mix up for a couple of seconds until the shortening kind of gets worked into the flour a little bit. So, let's come back for that."
