Video Transcript

"Hi! My name is Stephanie Barnett here on behalf of Expert Village. I am here to show you how to bake pumpkin bread. Next we are going to put our pumpkin bread in the oven. You will want it in the middle, kind of at the top, place it in there and make sure you are at 350. You are going to set your timer for 50 minutes. It can bake from 50 to 1 hr. but you are going to want to check it. You are going to want to take a toothpick at 50 minutes and insert it in the middle. If it comes out clean, then it is done. If it comes out gooey with a lot of crumbs stuck to it, it's not done. It needs 10 more minutes. Also look at that top with that brown sugar. If it starts to burn, then you need to take it out and if it's just slightly gooey, the bread will continue to cook once you have it out in the pan but you will need to leave it in the pan for a while. Also when you take the pumpkin bread out, 5 minutes in the pan, take a knife because that sugar will want to make it stick on the top around the edges. So take a knife all around the edges to release it. You let it sit in the pan for 5 minutes and then you are going to turn it out onto a wire rack to completely cool. There will be a lot of steam coming off of it and you want to release that steam."
