"I'm Stephanie Barnett on behalf of Expert Village and today we're going to make a Christmas Cranberry Sauce. Oh, that smells good. Now that your cranberry sauce has been cooking on the stove, we're going to add the pomegranate seeds and the kumquats that have been candied in simply syrup sauce. Take your cranberries-they're still steaming from the stove. Now depending on the sweetness of your cranberry sauce you can pour the entire kumquat simple syrup in there or what I'm going to do- you can take a slotted spoon and you see how they become translucent, and even a more orange color? They are just lovely. And I'm going to put those in there. If I find after I'm all done and I'm tasting this and it's still a little bit too tart, you can add a little bit of this simple syrup bath. Don't throw this out though. This is a lovely thing to add to cocktails. It will give it a nice orangey flavor. I'm also going to add the pomegranate seeds. That was one whole pomegranate, and you're going to stir that in. Simply fold that in. Don't stir too vigorously because it will all come out of the pot. It's getting quite full. But just fold that all in. Make sure it gets mixed up. And now I want you, again, to taste this. Take your spoon. It's still a little tart so I'm going to add a little bit of that simple syrup. And it won't make it too runny. The cranberries, when they set up, they'll really set up. And I'm not going to add that whole thing. Again, I'm going to stir it, really incorporate that in, and I'm going to taste that again. I'm going to a get a clean spoon though. That's right. No double dipping. Oh, better. OK, so now that's ready."
