"I'm Stephanie Barnett on behalf of Expert Village and today we're going to make Christmas Cranberry Sauce. Oh, that smells good! I have about half a cup of sugar, and we used five kumquats. If you're going to use more kumquats, use more sugar. So, I dumped a half a cup of sugar in there and I'm just going to add half a cup of water to the sugar and now we're going to add the kumquats. Now we're going to take it over the stove and I'm going to show you how to cook this. So, turn your heat on your stove to a medium heat, and you're going to stir the sugar, and the water, and the kumquats. You want to get all of that sugar dissolved, and you want your kumquats basically to bathe in that sugar syrup. You're going to stir this and cook it for at least for ten to fifteen minutes, until the kumquats soften. They'll get a darker color orange and the simple syrup will become completely clear."
