"On behalf of Expert Village my name is Dina Cutrone of Tall Order in NYC and today we're making hummus pizza. So I'm just going to wash these guys off and get the seeds and the rest of the skin off and see it comes off quite easily under the water. Some people say that you loose some taste if you put it under the water but I don't think it really makes a big of a difference to me it's well worth it to try to get the skin off and the charring off. It will take a really long time to do this without water so there you go you see this is what we're going to use and we're going to bring them back to the cutting board. I'm actually going to clean off the cutting board and have a clean spot and I'm just going to cut them into a few pieces so when I put them into the blender it will be a little easier for it to break it down. So you can see I'm just going to do about 1" strips or so, so you don't have to be exact cause you're going to put it into the blender. "
