"Hi, this is Rich Buccola here in New York City, and today on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you how to make mozzarella, tomato and basil salad. Beautiful! Alright so I'm back and I'm just going to give them a good rinse under the cold water of the sink. Alright so you finished rinsing your tomatoes. I just put them down, so they don't roll. This way the tend to not move. Again you're going to keep your knuckles, your fingers in, so you don't want to keep your fingers straight as you cutting like this. You can cut your fingers. So keep your knuckles in, and just as you move back, cutting straight, moving your knife back, you won't cut yourself. Here I'm going to try to make nice cuts. Nice quarter inch. So there's my first cut. Quarter inch slice. You want to taste the tomato in this, so that's it. Nice quarter inch slice, and what's going to happen is you're going to put a piece of mozzarella cheese like so, and then you're going to add a little basil."
