"Here is my famous aging backwards crouton trick. We want to add flavor to our salad, but croutons add a lot of carbohydrates and starches. So what I like to do is buy the very flavorful croutons, something really garlic-y and cheesy. I pour them into a baggy and then I take a hammer, like a meat mallet but you can use a hammer from your toolbox, and I just start hammering away. It's also a good stress reliever. So, I just hammered the croutons, and when I'm done, I can take one little spoonful of croutons from my salad and add a lot of flavor for just a few calories."
