Buying Vegan Hygiene Products

"Hello, I'm Robert Cheeke, president of Vegan Bodybuilding and Fitness based here in Portland, Oregon. And today, on behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to do a tutorial all about being vegan. In this clip, I'm going to talk about vegan options for personal care products. So here, we're talking about things like shampoo. Now, of course, veganism is more than just food. We're talking about things that are tested on animals or have animal ingredients. This -- I don't know if you can see this, but this label will say, it says vegan right on it. It also has a little bunny, which is the symbol of not tested on animals and veganism, so that's something to look for. And there's also certain brands you can really point out, like Jason brand, for example. So even toothpaste because what we're trying to do is support the companies that don't use cruelty practices on their products -- a part of being vegan. So whether it's toothpaste, shampoo, or soaps, you can find vegan options in all of these stores. Look for the labels, find out where they're made, and then you know you're getting vegan personal care products. Now, in another aisle, what we're finding is dishwashing liquid for the sink and laundry detergent for, you know, for washing clothes. So again, it's far reach and just making sure that all these different products we're using because so many products are tested on animals no matter what they are, for soap to laundry detergent. So what we want to do is whenever we can, to be aware of that and get things that are more health-conscious or -- sorry -- more environmentally-conscious. "
