"Hi, I?m Denise Bennett and I?m here on behalf of Expert Village. Ok, so we?re going to start of with an Asian pear for this beautiful vegetable salad. And I suppose you can use a food processor - I am not going to today. I?m not making a huge portion and I want to stay a little bit more connected with my food today. Ok, as you can see a pretty good size pieces but not a roll, I mean. And this is this beautiful Asian pear. If you guys have never had an Asian pear, you are missing out. Kind of looks like an apple, lots and lots of water content which is really important. What you?re looking for with raw foods is water content. That?s what you need in your body, is water, which is oxygen. So when you cook food you are depriving your body of what it needs: oxygen, water, nutrients, vitamins, minerals, all the things you need."
