" In another bowl separately I'm want my wet ingredients. I have already measure out 2 cups of water. You use probably good purified water. Yes filter water. Me to. Never put anything in your cake that you wouldn't put in your own body. True. And I'm going to measure up ¾ of a cup of oil now I'm using because this is a dessert I'm using a walnut oil I love the flavor nut oil. Nice. Macadam, almond oil but you know what in the pinch I have used olive oil it has worked fine you could even substitute apple sauce if you are worry about the fat content but this is a special dessert and then a tablespoon a whole tablespoon of pure vanilla extract. I recommend the kind without alcohol I just think that it taste better that is just my option. Never get imitation vanilla extract is a sulfite its made yeah is really really bad for you. So I got my wet ingredients here, my dry ingredients here and I don't even need a mixture, a mix master, a kitchen aide all I'm going to do is by hand the way grandma did it is mix my wet ingredients into the dry ingredients this is. It is easy. It's really easy I'm just going to stir, I probably should of have a little bigger bowl but I wanted it to be clear so you could see it. No eggs to crack, no silm vanilla or ecola in here so just using good old fashion elbow grease and you know what if somebody had a hand mixture and wanted to do it that way they certainly could but any I'm going to be eating this cake and if I could burn a extra 10 calories by doing it by hand I'm going to do it by hand. I also like to do it this way to show that you really don't need every fancy. Instruments. I mean they are wonderful all the fancy kitchen items but you still can make a delicious cake just with what you probably have on your shelf. So we are just going to stir that. It's looking good. I don't want to stir it to fast because I do this bowl is probably a little to small but really just until all the lumps are gone and its fully in cooperated and you are probably thinking to yourself well how is this cake going to rise, there is no eggs, how is it going to taste. Well for some reason when you mix apple cider vinegar which I forgot but I'm remembering now. Okay. 2 tablespoons with the baking soda, you see that little fizzing right there? Yes. It is like little bubbles like when you where in chemistry class. Okay. I glad that I remember that it causes some kind of reaction with the baking soda. And it makes it rise. Little bubbles know. Wow! It just makes it rise. I don't know how and this receipt was develop before the word vegan was even a word because I guess in the old days or maybe during the depression eggs where scares and certain things where scares and people had to actually had to figure out how to make things without the things we consider standard and so obviously if it is a sulfa you might want to have a egg. But for a cake it is really not necessary. Okay and next we are going to do is spray the pan and pour the batter so stay with us."
