"Hi this is Karen for Expert Village okay let's rinse our parsley stems this was a bunch of parsley that I just chopped off the parsil, I just use the parsley for something else and the stems to flavor the stock, so just rinse them off until they don't have any dirt or anything on them. The celery you just want to cut off the ends there until you get the ribs if you want you can leave the leafs on them just cut off any that don't look good. Usually there's a little bit of dirt and sand right here in the rib and we'll scrub that out, take your brush and just make sure you get all the way into the middle of the rib. A lot of times there will be sand or dirt in there and then we're just going to rough chop that and we'll put it in here to put in our stock, next I'll be showing you how to cut the onions and the garlic."
