"SIMEON LOWE: Hi, my name is Simeon Lowe on behalf of Expert Village. Today, we are going to learn how to make gourmet coffee in your home. All right. In this clip, I'm going to show you how to make a macchiato. The big difference between a macchiato and a regular latte is the amount of foam and how you put the espresso in. If you're going to notice at the end, after I pour the milk in, I'm going to reverse the roles. So I'm going to put the milk in first and then I'm going to put the espresso on top. The machinator comes from the Italian word which means "mark" actually and so that's where you get it. You're going to pour the espresso in, it's going to mark the foam with that. It gives you a little bit different taste 'cause you have the foam on top without as much espresso flavor. And then the espresso flavor is going to fill the bottom of the cup with the rest of the milk. All right. To get more foam, you're just going to stretch the milk longer. Here we are, all set. I'm going to start by pouring the milk in the foam. And next, we're going to dump the expresso on top, right on the foam. And as you can see, it looks completely different. Its got the espresso marks right down in the middle of it and the clean milk foam on that. And that is how you make a macchiato."
