"SIMEON LOWE: Hi. My name is Simeon Lowe on behalf of Expert Village. Today, we are going to learn how to make gourmet coffee in your home. In this set, we're going to show you how to make latte with these certain ingredients. So we already know how to pull the shots and steam the milk. Next, what we're going to do is take a good look at what we're going to put into our latte. All right, we have our thin syrups which are typically going to be like vanilla, hazelnut, all the fruit flavors, Irish cream, stuff like that, and then we have our thick syrups. Here we have white chocolate and chocolate. To make those lattes, you're going to have to have a stir stick to be able to stir the monins with the espresso and the shots. So for all these thin ones though, you can just pour them straight in without using a stir stick. But for the thick ones, you're going to have to stir them when you pour the latte. You want to also be very aware when you're making a latte because if you do mix fruit flavors with milk, the milk will curdle. So to cancel it out, what you do is you put an equal amount of vanilla in with the fruit flavor and somehow, magically, it makes it work out and kind of straightens things out. So if, say, we're going to make something with raspberry, you're going to also make sure that you have vanilla because you're making a raspberry latte which is good. It is not good, however, if the milk is curdled. So, we'll get to how to actually make the latte itself later. But you do want to know a little bit about your monins before you start making stuff up."
