Series Summary

Kombucha tea is drink that dates all the way back to Qin Dynasty in 250 BCE in China. The Ancient Chinese referred to it as the "Immortal Health Elixir" because of its ability to detox and clear the stomach and intestines. Finally, at the beginning of the Middle Ages, Kombucha tea reached Russia and Eastern Europe and slowly made its way through Western Culture. Kombucha is a tea fermented with a "Kombucha colony", which consists of bacterai and yeast cultures meant to break down toxins and other unhealthy enzymes in the digestive track. It has become a popular alternative health remedy mentioned by celebrities and propagated by a number of different Kombucha communities all over the World.

"Hi! I'm Hannah Crum as known as La's Kombucha momma and I'm here for expertvillage.com to take you through kombucha camp. What is kombucha you may ask well that is a very good question it is a ancient Chinese secret dating back to the teen dynasty it is called Hong Cha and it stands for literary red tea bacteria it is a very alp description because it is a symbolic culture of bacteria and yeast that is put in a mixture of sweeten tea and it is allowed to mix for a couple of weeks and it creates very delicious health beverage. So here in the camp we'll start of with a tasting and try some of the different flavors that are already bottled. We would move into the kitchen where we learn how to make the sweet tea mixture and then we bottle the product that is already finished kumbusha that is already done and add our flavors where we get really creative. "
