"Hello! My name is Melissa and on behalf of Expert Village today, I am going to teach you how to make the perfect cup of hot chocolate. So now that you have chosen your type of chocolate, what we need to do now is to chop up the chocolate before we prepare and move on towards the stove. So in this clip now depending on the type of chocolate that you've chose. Let's say for instance that that you have gone for the Baker's Chocolate and it comes in the bars. You would need to finally chop up those bars so that it would melt down that much faster. Now if you've gone to a chocolate chip and in this case here, they will melt a little it faster. You can chop them up if you want so that it does melt even faster so I recommend and you can even use a knife or you can sometimes depending if it was that chocolate chunk, sometimes I always like to use this masher as well. It depends on what kind of tool you have in your kitchen. You just want to finally chop that up and then put it into a bowl. Now important to keep in mind when you are chopping up your chocolate two important things; per cup of hot chocolate 25 grams is usually a good way to start off. If you want more chocolate later, you can add to taste but 25 grams per cup of hot chocolate is usually a great starting point. Secondly when you chopping up your chocolate, make sure that if you are using a chopping block or chopping board, make sure that you would chop onions on you wouldn't be using or preparing your chocolate on that because of odors and taste would mix together. So two important things to keep in mind, chop up your chocolate get it into a dish and I'll meet you in our next clip by the stove."
